Compare C-Lon Bead Cord Colors - The Blue Green Range

I often get emails with someone is asking me to describe the difference between two colors. And yes, colors can be described but a picture is worth a thousand words...

Here is the blue green range compared with bluer colors on the left, greener ones on the right:

CY Cyan is the bluest.

AQ Aqua is a bit lighter and a bit less blue.

IB Ice Blue is lighter and greener.

TL Teal is the darkest tone in this range.

TQ Turquoise is the lightest color in this group.

SG Sage is a bit darker, greener, and more muted.

CEL Celadon is a touch lighter, greener, and even more muted.

Pantone 2018 Color of the Year + Spring Color Predictions

Hey, purple is back... This time with a blue based purple named Ultra Violet. It is the 2018 Pantone Color of the Year. Here are some suggestions for cord and silk thread colors in the same purple blue hues.  

From left to right:

Chinese Knotting Cord Size E is a braided nylon cord with a central core great for tassels, square knot bracelets, and bead crochet. French Lilac fits into the Ultra Violet spectrum. > Chinese Knotting Cord Size E

Consider Medium Purple and Purple in C-Lon Bead Cord line, a bonded nylon 3-ply cord, available in 4 sizes. > C-Lon Bead Cord

Lemon or Lemongrass, Shanghai Red, Blue Morning, and Mahogany - also look at Sienna and Venetian Red as alternatives. 

Petal, Pink Lemonade, Turquoise, and Medium Purple - also look at Chinese Coral and Purple as alternatives. 

Brown, Peach Glow, Azalea, and Chartreuse. Look at Mahogany, Oyster as potential candidates.
