Or a burnt orange that is not garish, or a cocoa that is more brown than taupe. I am just glad that there are additional shades and textures of thread. Some of the cords turn white or are so nylony the softness is gone. I love variegated threads, and unfortunately, dying is the only solution for that requirement. Having worked with beads for many years and also embroidery threads, being able to add subtle shades and stark contrasts within an art piece is all part of creativity.
